It's quite fascinating what they were able to find about that gene, and how they might be able to fix these heart conditions.

That being said, there's some strange translation from scientists to the article...

"How did hearts evolve from three to four chambers?" Bruneau said.
Here he's assuming, that 4-chamber hearts evolved from 3-chambered hearts. That's just not necessarily the case. Chances are, humans did not evolve from any reptile.

The way evolution works, hearts simply evolved multiple times in various different species of animals. As amazing as that is, isn't it normal that it'd be slightly different in each?
