 Anti-Obesity Snacks
Anti-Obesity Snacks
Snack foods containing natural appetite suppressants are being suggested as a method of combating obesity. Galactolipids found in oats, cereals and green leaves alter the rate at which food is digested which in turn alters the brain's perception of how much nutrition is needed, reducing appetite. picked by Pocksucket 2 years ago

There are two things really that strike me about this news.

The first is that it would be a better plan to eat oats, cereals and green leaves than cakes with extracts in. But if that fact, so simple to behold, were adhered to then there wouldn't be a problem with obesity anyway.

The other is that lipids, galacto- or otherwise, are fats. Lose weight by eating more fats.

Just goes to show that without proper understanding of the biology involved, dietary advice is just blowing in the wind.

Hands up anyone who knows what cholesterol is, let alone why you would die without it.

I think the theme pic alone is anti-obesity snack enough. It is true, there is no magic pill or food that will truly make it all go away. It is all about eating right, exercise, and portion control.
