I am the escaped one, After I was born They locked me up inside me But I left. My soul seeks me, Through hills and valley, I hope my soul Never finds me..... ....If my decomposing carcass helps nourish the roots of a juniper tree or the wings of a vulture That is immortality enough for me. And as much as anyone deserves. CREDO The truth is that life is hard and dangerous; that he who seeks his own happiness does not find it; that he who is weak must suffer; that he who demands love will be disappointed; that he who is greedy will not be fed; that he who seeks peace will find strife; that truth is only for the brave; that joy is only for him who does not fear to be alone; that life is only for the one who is not afraid to die. --Joyce CaryOnward from vast uncharted spaces,Forward through timeless voids,Into all of us surges and racesThe measureless might of the wind. In the steep silence of thin blue airHigh on a lonely cliff-ledge,Where the air has a clear, clean rarity,I give to the wind...my pledge:”By the strength of my arm, by the sight of my eyes,By the skill of my fingers, I swear,As long as life dwells in me, never will IFollow any way but the sweeping way of the wind.” http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee321/Mutil8or/029-3.jpgforumimage('http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee321/Mutil8or/029-3.jpg','xhttpi532photobucketcomalbumsee321mutil8or0293jpg');Despite its clarity and simplicity, however, the desert wears at the same time, paradoxically, a veil of mystery. Motionless and silent it evokes in us an elusive hint of something unknown, unknowable, about to be revealed. Since the desert does not act it seems to be waiting-but waiting for what? http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee321/Mutil8or/nates-camera-400.jpgforumimage('http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/ee321/Mutil8or/nates-camera-400.jpg','xhttpi532photobucketcomalbumsee321mutil8ornatescamera400jpg');Oddities Curios and Other Repressed Emotions

Pororoca-Surfing the Amazon Posted: 2 months ago by mutil8or
Twice a year, between the months of February and March, the Atlantic Ocean waters roll up the Amazon river, in Brazil, generating the longest wave on the Earth. The phenomenon, known as the Pororoca, is caused by the tides of the Atlantic Ocean wich meet the mouth of the river. This tidal bore generates waves up to 12 feet high which can last for over half an hour.
